These studies have consistently shown that these \"<span style=\"color: #199cd8;\">hyper-active<\/span>\" brain responses to sensory stimuli may be due to a '<span style=\"color: #199cd8;\">disconnection<\/span>\" of the centers that typically control sensory processing regions.<\/p>\n<p>The same studies can also measure the number and concentration of various neurochemicals, the two most important: glutamate and GABA (\u03b3-aminobutyric-acid) in these areas.
